Where do I find archived items? [May 22, 2011, 8:04:13 PM]

I had created a to-do item and after i completed the task, I archived the item to get it off my list.  Now two weeks later, where do I go to see my completed tasks?

Re: Where do I find archived items? [May 24, 2011, 10:41:21 PM]

Originally, the app archived all items, and then deleted them several months later when the app no longer needed to reference them to re-prioritize your goals based on the historical completion of events.  I picked the word archive and defined it as being a stage before deletion.  This was with the original release just a few months ago.

Very quickly users wanted to access and edit the archive.  I completely understand and support this desire, so I am currently enabling the full access to the historical archive, and I will no longer automatically dispose of archived items after a year.  This way each user can determine what to dispose of and when.

With that said, I want to make sure it is done well.  With checklists, you can now view, delete and restore archived items.  Soon, likely within the next 4-6 weeks, you will be able to do the same from any folder/goal/etc.. Eventually, I will have templates as well, and allow you to duplicate any item, archived or not.

Please be patient.  I am very responsive to requests, and while the original design was nice, it does not offer the flexibility and desirability as this new direction.  I am hard at work to ensure that these features will be there in an intuitive way... and soon.  It just needs a bit more design and coding.  There are a lot of new features coming out in  version 1.3 (next few weeks), and archive and calendar are the next big features!
